All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, become part of our team as a Systems Engineer for the Patuxent River, MD Test Team residing at HX-21, supporting NAVAIR, HX-21, and VX-1's Test and Evaluation efforts at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. This position is in nearby Lexington Park, Maryland, and is responsible for the qualification testing, integration, and life cycle support of the MH-60R and the MH-60S avionics systems.The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Test. Interacts with NAVAIR, HX-21 and VX-1 regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.The successful candidate will communicates with other program personnel, government employees, and senior executives both at the respective commands and Lockheed Martin. Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the MH-60R and MH-60S Helicopters:Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, on helicopter testing and loading of specific software in accordance with flight clearances and test plans. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.- Ability to communicate on all levels both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers; demonstrated technical leadership.- Strong presentation skills. Ability to work as a company engineering representative at customer locations.- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education- Minimum of 9+ years of relevant professional experience, or 7+ years of professional experience with a related Engineering Master's degree.Desired Skills:- Ground and Test and Flight Test experience on military aircrafts- Experience with data bus and ethernet standards, like MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, and IEEE 802.3.- Experience with instrumentation and data capture, like IRIG Chapter 10 data recorders, Wireshark, etc.- Experience with data analysis, using tools like MATLAB or Python- Experience with a diversity of complex electrical (hardware) systems- Experience with on aircraft software loading- Experience with probability, statistics, mathematical modeling- Experience working in classified/access-controlled facilities- Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings, software specs, and manuals along with other technical materials to resolve complex problems- Experience with requirements tracking and bug tracking tools such as DOORs and JIRA Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Secret Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
