The Computer System Security Specialist/Architect shall be available and required to work additional hours as deemed necessary to accomplish contract requirements. The work will be on the USAMRICD, BLDG E2900, 8350 Ricketts Point Road, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.Summary:The Computer System Security Specialist/Architect is responsible for providing the full range of services, in both unclassified and classified environments, in the areas of Information Assurance Continuous Monitoring and Vulnerability Management Architectural design support and services for Laboratory Systems.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Work with Defense Health Agency (DHA), Army Public Health Center (APHC) and US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) to identify, recommend and work with MRICD ISSM to implement a patching solution for the Laboratory System Enclave / standalone systems.Determine any additional resources that may be required to patch and maintain the laboratory systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.Work with customers to identify, document systems that need to be patched and maintained under the laboratory systems accreditation boundary.Assist with the implementation of RMF and cybersecurity controls for laboratory systems.Provide recommendations and plans of actions and milestones to become compliant with cybersecurity standards.Provide notes from meetings attended. Provide courses of action and recommendations for obtaining vulnerability management compliance on Laboratory System Enclave and standalone systems. Provide a status report to the USAMRICD CIO every Wednesday.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Other duties as assigned. Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Must have and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).Experience in Windows Server Operating Systems support Windows 2012/2016, Windows Active Directory, and other Microsoft tool/applications.3 to 5 years of experience demonstrating and practicing knowledge, skill, and ability in Information systems security with physical environment, cultural environment, and the technology environment.Must have DoD 8570.01 M Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent as specified in DoD 8570.01 M). IAT Level II, and DoD 8570.01 M Computing Environment Certification, (Microsoft Modern Desktop Admin Associate preferred or other current Microsoft certifications). Preferred Skills:Ability to identify, download, analyze, test, and implement Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and Security. Perform all functions with assisting in delivering continuous vulnerability management for Laboratory systems. Knowledgeable in conducting threats and vulnerability assessments weekly to access risks and determines effective corrective measures.
