SIGINT Requirements Planning Systems Engineer
ResponsibilitiesPeraton is hiring a Requirements Planning Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a systems engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a Requirements Planning Systems Engineer on our team you will directly support the customer's systems engineering planning for future overhead SIGINT systems to include fully documenting system requirements.You will also participate as customer representative, in the intelligence community engineering and planning processes focused on the development of the next generation of overhead SIGINT systems.The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of current overhead SIGINT capabilities to include their use, operations and associated ground processing architecture. The selected systems engineer will: #LI-AH1 #PeratonIntelCareers Work closely with the IC organizations, national-level customers, and military services to capture and document the requirements for the next generation systems. Participate in numerous meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams, product reviews, and status meetings to monitor the systems engineering plans, development, and deployment of space and ground processing systems. Work closely with government Systems Engineers to ensure customer plans are effectively aligned with those developed by other IC engineers. The goal is seamless integration across enterprises. Be a key member of the team charged with the production of solid documentation of the customers' requirements and a mapping of where, when, and how those requirements will be satisfied by capabilities to be deployed across the extended IC enterprise as the next generation collection and processing systems are fielded. Directly participate in structured analysis of alternatives (AoA) decision making processes as plans work through the appropriate decision gates. QualificationsIndividual Capabilities/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. Knowledge of National SIGINT technologies, capabilities, and system architectural components (ie space systems, ground stations, ground processing systems, national collection requirements prioritization systems and processes). Proven skills in writing technical documentation clearly articulating requirements for complex systems. Ability to represent customer organization at intelligence community requirements working groups and other technical forums. Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph Individual Capabilities/Experience desired: The ideal candidate would be National Systems SIGINT Ground Architecture SME. However familiarity with relevant IC organizations and processes may be a suitable replacement for detailed technical knowledge of current National SIGINT system capabilities Some knowledge of DNI's Intelligence Community Capability Requirements (ICCR) process and the Joint Capabilities Integration Development Systems (JCIDS) process would be valuable. The task generally operates at the enterprise and architectural level of the capabilities needs processes, and seldom requires deep dives into low level system requirements. Knowledge of the customer's corporate requirements process will be very helpful in being fully effective in this work role as the supported organization often partners with other agency organization as requirements work their way through the ICCR and JCIDS process.
