Peraton is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Herndon, VA with some remote work possible. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative will modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:Mentor, guide Business Analysts on the program; Create standards and guidelines on user stories and Acceptance criteriaSupport all project phases from inception through completion.Work with the customer to capture and translate high level functional, technical, and performance requirements into detailed acceptance criteria for epics / user stories in a Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe)Decomposition of high-level information into details; abstracting low-level information; distinguishing requests vs needs; distinguishing requirements vs solutionsAssist Deployment Leads, engineers, and other internal stakeholders with client facing activities to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectivesWorks with the development team to ensure that they understand the requirementsProvide business area and technical expertise to management and stakeholders to facilitate planning, set direction, define business initiatives, and develop solutions to business information systems needs and requirements.Be able to manage across multiple projects, changing priorities, and work independently with little oversight.Participate in the agile ceremonies and interface with the agile team(s) and other program staff as required.Communicate effectively in written and verbal communication coupled with strong listening skillsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10-12 years' experience; Master's Degree and 6-8 years' experience; or four (4) years of additional relevant experience in lieu of Degree Strong understanding of business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systemsExperience eliciting and documenting functional, technical and performance requirementsExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to audiences with varied technical backgroundsExcellent administrative/organizational abilitiesMust have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance.Interim clearance acceptablePreferred Qualifications:Experience researching new technology for inclusion/use on customer programsPrior work experience in a fast-paced, variable environmentScaled Agile Framework experience, working as a part of a Scrum TeamExperience using engineering environments and tools that support agile development, and especially SAFe, such as JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, Confluence, IBM CLM/ELM#LI-KW1Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
