Drawing on effective KM and continuous learning practices, this position will provide strategic support to tailor KM and learning strategies to improve knowledge capture, curation, synthesis, storage, and dissemination with the goal of ensuring our collective knowledge can be shared and used to catalyze action.This position will support KM and learning activities at both the project and organizational levels. They will work with the Senior KM Advisor and across departments to ensure that Jhpiego's KM and learning systems are responsive to the needs of French-speaking staff, projects, and programs - both as channels for accessing knowledge and sharing knowledge with the global Jhpiego community.The KM Advisor will play an important role in shaping and strengthening regional capacity in KM, especially but not limited to Francophone West Africa. This position will help develop relationships within and outside Jhpiego to expand the reach and maximize the impact of Jhpiego's work across Francophone partners, stakeholders, and networks. This position will also help ensure that the application and use of digital tools and systems can help strengthen multi-directional learning and collaboration across Jhpiego's multicultural and multilingual workforce. Specific duties & responsibilities:Work with Senior KM Advisor to advance Jhpiego's KM action plan with a focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of KM in Francophone and other countries as needed. This could include but is not limited to: a) Aligning KM and data use strategies and actions across Jhpiego's core areas of work in Francophone countries; b) Expanding access to and use of content/knowledge assets on Jhpiego's KM platforms; c) Strengthening project-to-project, country-to-country, and joint learning and sharing; and d) Increase engagement of Francophone staff in organizational KM initiatives including virtual marketplaces; and e) Strengthening staff capacity to adopt, adapt, and apply KM tools and approach to their work.Provide KM technical and capacity strengthening support to Jhpiego-led projects and programs in Francophone countries. This could include but is not limited to: supporting KM assessments and action planning; co-facilitating the implementation of KM and adaptive learning tools and approaches; and providing coaching and mentorship support for KM. Provide strategic support to Francophone projects or countries to implement knowledge exchange activities (eg meetings, series, rapid exchanges) on specific technical and programmatic topics.Support and/or participate in a global annual series of virtual marketplaces focused on country-to-country learning and sharing.Support development, refinement, and implementation of guidance, tools and processes to improve KM in Francophone countries. This includes gathering, synthesizing, and documenting Jhpiego successes and challenges using KM to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our work. Other duties as assignedMinimum qualifications (mandatory):Advanced degree in Public Health, Organizational Learning, Knowledge Management, Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation or related fields.8+ years' of progressive experience designing, and implementing KM or learning strategies and actions for a global health and development organization.Oral and written fluency in both English and French.Experience providing technical support to advance KM and adaptive learning in multiple components of the KM cycle: knowledge capture, curation, synthesis, dissemination, storage, and use. Demonstrated competence in concepts and issues in KM processes and organizational learning approaches.Experience providing KM and adaptive learning technical support across multiple implementation levels (project, program, department, organization).Experience supporting KM and learning systems to improve access to, use, and re-use of knowledge assets.Demonstrated experience tracking progress against KM indicatorsExperiencecollaborating with national, regional, and global stakeholders in learning and KM-related activities including knowledge exchange, knowledge stewardship, reflection and adaptation, and knowledge translation and use.Experience supporting capacity building approaches and measurement best practices to advance KM and adaptive learning.Experience applying effective KM and adaptive learning practices to global public health challenges and priorities.Experience applying digital tools and technologies to in-person and/or virtual meetings, events, convenings, etc. Demonstrated analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with all levels of staff, donors, host-country counterparts and representatives from other key stakeholders.Aware of and sensitive to working in multiple socio-economic settings and with multicultural groups in a developing country environment.Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.Ability to work independently and possess excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in an environment of changing deadlines and priorities.Comfortable with a team approach to programming and the ability to manage several major activities simultaneously.Strong decision-making skills and results-oriented approach.Excellent oral and written communications skills, and ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.Ability to travel independently internationally, particularly to low-resource contexts.Preferred qualificationsAwareness of and proficiency in using participatory digital tools.Experience working with USAID and other US-based donors.Experience designing and implementing quality control, monitoring, and evaluation of KM or related fields of work.Experience with using adaptive management to improve program implementation Experience with web development, SharePoint, and/or using customer relationship management software.Jhpiego
