The Navy NCIS program is searching for aSharePoint Administratorto join their team inQuantico, VA.TheNaval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)is an organization of over 2,200 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the Department of Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.NCIS provides the DON with threat status and warnings associated with terrorist, criminal, cyber, and counterintelligence activity throughout the world. NCIS is the only DON organization that has the information and responsibility to fuse and analyze the national intelligence and law enforcement information necessary to provide these warnings.The Digital Business Directorate (DBD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.This position is part of the IT Technology Development division within the NCIS DBD organization and performs the following functions:Provides Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support for a large customer within the DoD communityProvide critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting including site problems, address site permission issues, creation and configuration of sites and sub-sites, assist in definition of site resourcesPlans for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required and communicate any downtime to businessPerforming data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data lossEnsuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving dataReviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting ensure optimized user-experiencesProvide security operations or coordinates security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation-risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring processAdministrator will be tasked with assisting in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2019 architecturesPerform SharePoint 2019/2016 farm upgrade from SharePoint 2013Basic QualificationsBS or equivalent7+ years of experience with SharePoint AdministrationExperience with SnapManager, AvePoint DocAve productsExtensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365Microsoft SharePoint Administration certificate in multiple versionsSecret clearance to startSecurity+ - Current DoD 8570 Level IIAdditional Qualifications:Experience and knowledge with SharePoint Online administrationExperience with Information Assurance practices and principles (ex. STIGs)Experience administering Windows Servers, Active Directory including ADFS, DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Windows Firewall, Event Viewer Performance Monitoring and PowerShell scriptingExperience configuring and maintaining SharePoint Enterprise search, index configurations, and schedulingExperience supporting Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environmentIn-depth knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS) and its relationship with .Net Framework, ASP.Net, Application Pools, configuration files and how IIS handles user authenticationAbout Our WorkWe are GDIT.
