Responsible for monitoring networks for security events and alerts to potential/active threats, intrusions, and/or indicators of compromise through advanced analysis and threat hunting. Respond to escalated malicious incidents that require additional investigation and response planning. Review the Incident Response Program for potential modifications and provide recommendations for enhancements and/or process improvements.Perform technical research into advanced malware, targeted attacks, crimeware campaigns, and other emerging technologies and techniques to identify and report on cyber-attacks and attackersPerform proactive research to identify, categorize and produce reports on new and existing threatsCorrelate information with additional data sources to develop a comprehensive operational picture of malicious actors, and their tactics, techniques, and proceduresConduct technical evaluations of new or emerging cyber threats, such as attack tools, exploits, malware and etcDiscover and investigate malicious activities in order to determine various tactics such as exploitation methods, and effects on systems and informationProvide awareness to internal analysis and collections teams on changes to the cyber threat landscape and criminal activitiesCo-develop and help manage technical capabilities needed to enhance new sources of intelligence collection in partnership with engineering, analysis, and collections teamsPerform incident response services including, but not limiting to, collection, documentation, preservation and analysis of incident evidenceEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.4+ years of Information Security, IT network or other related IT experience.Experience with SIEM or other security tools.Our Comprehensive Benefits Package: Flexible work solutions including remote options, hybrid work schedules and dress flexibility, Competitive pay, Paid time off including holidays, Health insurance coverage for you and your dependents, 401(k) and stock purchase plans, Tuition reimbursement and best-in-class training and development.Centene is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity, and values the ways in which we are different.
