Job Description We are now interviewing for an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality while cultivating a world-class level of client service delivered through attentiveness and compassion during this high stress, emotional time. This position is in person and non-exempt. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Maintains attorney(s) calendar(s) Schedules meetings, calls, hearings and mediations for Principals and Senior Associates Logs new clients and referrals on CLIO Grow and CLIO Manage software Electric file court documents on CaseFile (DC) and Mdec (Maryland) Manages docket calendar and deadlines Organize, maintain, and track files, including pleadings, correspondence, documents from client, and discovery in our cloud server (box.com) Draft simple correspondence Inventory discovery documents Bates stamp documents for production Elicit and maintain records from clients for discovery Create file of discovery documents to produce Prepare trial exhibits and summaries Conduct client intakes and conflict checks Prepare retainer agreements Manage workflow and tasks on Asana Help update firm Operations Manual on Atlassian Schedule firm trainings and other events on firm calendar Provide support to attorneys during trials and depositions Provide support answering incoming calls and ensures calls are redirected accordingly (backup on firm main line) Attend Firm trainings Provide administrative support including by mailing, faxing, scanning, and taking notes Other tasks as assigned Ability to lift 25 lbs Skills & Abilities: Punctual, dependable and reliable Outstanding grammar, editing and proofreading skills Able to multi-task Exceptional attention to detail Do it now approach Customer service driven Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Mac Operating System Required Education and Work Experience: Bachelors Degree preferred Experience as an Administrative Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary preferred Spanish language a plus Salary dependent upon experience starting at $45,000
