EMD is seeking a Technical Security Application Engineer who specialized with Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) experience to support the HSPDD12 global deployment of PIV badges. Position: Technical Security Application Engineer Overview: The Technical Security Application Engineer provides support for enterprise scale security system applications; including development, documentation, implementation, Tier 3 operations and support, system maintenance, quality assurance, etc. Work Location: Alexandria, VA. Full Time. Must be able to work onsite daily, telework is not available. Citizenship/Passport/Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Additional Requirements: The government is requiring significant medical screening/examinations/testing for this position. Candidates will receive a contingent offer based on successful completion of government medical requirements. Job Responsibilities: Research, develop, and implement new system hardware and software integrations/upgrades while applying security best practices Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment Create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures Monitor and troubleshoot application functionality and performance Investigate user performance and work to improve user experience Respond to support requests and assist users with Tier 3 incident resolution Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions. Provide remote end user support Understand and execute basic SQL queries Skills and Experience: SQL Networking (Layer 2/3 routing/switching, firewalls/security policies) PKI / FICAM Automated Access Control Systems Intrusion Detection Systems Technical writing Linux experience preferred Basic knowledge/understanding of computer programming preferred Education and Requirements: 3-5 years Application Administration experience Bachelor degree in IT, Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar field may be substituted with 5 or more years of relative integration experience and 2 or more relevant certifications On September 24, 2021, the US Governments Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued 2021 Guidance for Federal Contractors and Subcontractors mandating that Covered federal contractors, including EMD LLC, and their employees shall be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Therefore, this position may require individuals to be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past final dose) or have been granted a religious or medical accommodation by December 8, 2021 or shortly thereafter.
