Job Description Harrison Gray Search has partnered with an exciting Insurance Broker seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager. This company is located in the greater Washington DC area, but this role is fully remote. Job Summary: The account manager is a client facing position that will assist the Vice President in managing a book of business for groups in the 2-100 lives fully insured market. Thorough understanding of group benefits products and services and associated operating requirements to provide support to the client and achieve team goals. Overall responsibility for renewal, new business, escalated service and communication with assigned clients. Provide excellent and timely customer service and act as the direct liaison between client, carrier and vendors. This person will also coordinate tasks with the Client Support Specialist for claims, billing and eligibility management. Responsibilities: Manage and service a book of group accounts, ranging from 2 100 lives Provide timely, accurate and professional servicing of client accounts Coordinate renewal procedures and new business acquisitions Handle escalated client billing and claim requests Knowledge of compliance related topics: COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA Act as the primary backup to Vice President Schedule and attend client renewal and new business meetings Manage the renewal process for assigned group accounts to include: Plan option review within the current carrier Marketing alternative carrier and plan options Answer all questions regarding plan differences Execute new carrier implementation Marketing for new business opportunities: Gather all pertinent information from client (census, current benefits, plans, rates) Create the cost and plan analysis proposal Assist VP in choosing the best plans that fit the clients needs Schedule meeting with VP and client to propose options Walk clients through carrier implementation Coordinate open enrollment for renewal and new business Create and/or update employee communications Work with client and carrier for scheduling of employee meetings Prepare presentation materials Conduct open enrollment presentations as needed Marketing and implementation of vendor services for compliance and enrollment management Create and update service and renewal calendars Audit invoices and review agreements and contracts for accuracy Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities Stay up-to-date with the latest industry/insurance carrier changes Maintain high retention of existing clients and client satisfaction Utilizing in-house EPIC management system for reporting Attend internal and external industry related educational meetings and programs ZR Qualifications Bachelors Degree Life & Health Insurance license A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience A minimum of 2 years in employee benefits account management Experience with fully insured group benefits Experience with compliance, forecasting, auditing and reporting
