Project Management- Finance Integrated Delivery- Principal Project Manager

As a project manager on the Finance Delivery and Integrations Team, you will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders on strategic initiatives that are transforming our company. You will be responsible for all phases of project delivery - from definition and planning to problem solving and implementation. The ideal candidate can deliver in a challenging and fast-paced environment, and needs to be skilled in managing stakeholder and customer expectations, while concurrently maintaining delivery momentum. The role requires a well-rounded individual who is comfortable adjusting their approach to meet unique needs across multiple stakeholder groups within a complex organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Work autonomously on large and small scale projects that have a direct impact on the company.
  • Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work.
  • Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met while maintaining project plans and critical documentation.
  • Proactively identify and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary. Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills to work with partners to understand business problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. Includes clarifying and defining business needs, requirements and use cases.
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business process.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of Process Improvement experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or MBA degree
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of Finance and/or Financial Services

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City

- $114,766 and $135,398 for Principal Project Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
