Position Summary: THE FOCUS IS YOU: We are looking to add a Tax Staff Accountant that is eager to develop the fundamental knowledge and technical skills in accounting and tax, to be able to ascend into a position helping lead and guide our clients.As a Tax Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial information for our clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and assist internal teams and leaders to produce high-quality deliverables to our clients, while building upon the technical skills to grow as a professional. WHAT YOU WILL DORegular duties include (but are not limited to):Prepare tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individualsHandle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategiesFacilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issuesLead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timelineBuild, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clientsDemonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertiseParticipate in firm's marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar effortsDevelop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sourcesAdhere to firm's policies and procedures WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Experience1+ years in relevant positionDemonstrated knowledge of basic business, technology, or audit principles/standardsEducationMinimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent technology experienceBachelor's in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)Master's degree or 150 credits completed, in designated statesLicense / CertificationActively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attainedMust maintain required CPE credits annually Legal / ComplianceMust complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards documentGovernmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government WHO WE ARE READY TO DELIVERWe take pride in our ability to combine local knowledge with national, regional, and international skills to provide you and your organization with the best resources possible.
