Capital One Enterprise Services Risk (ESR) Technology Risk Management is seeking a Sr. Manager level Technology Risk Management Guide (TRG) professional. These skills allow them to gain insights, act as a change agent to influence technology partners, and deliver value-added risk management services. As a member of the ESR Tech Risk Management Team, the candidate will focus on reviews of critical technology functions including cloud-based technology, emerging technology, and cybersecurity risks. The candidate will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with senior Technical and Cyber Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately identify and mitigate risks within the Capital One Software Technology organization. You will collaborate with second lines of defense to lead and implement risk and control tools, techniques, and frameworks for the Technology organization, as well as provide direct tech risk advisory services into our first line Divisional CIO teams. Your contributions will drive organizational change through risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting in order to better manage the company's risk in an open and collaborative environment. Proficiency in risk management program (ideally Technology risk-driven program) development and management are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will be an experienced risk management professional who understands cyber technology functions, PCI-DSS, SOC2 Type 2 and organizations, with strong analytical, planning, strategic thinking, organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: Assist the ES Risk leadership in delivering against their strategy and service model Serve as interdepartmental advisor, interfacing with technology lines of business and other areas such as TRM, Cyber, Finance and Compliance; collaborate effectively across multiple organizations to achieve objectives. Identify and implement continual program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices related to risk management (especially technology risk) and aligned with Capital One's strategic risk direction Gather risk and control data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data Accountable for and contribute to the evaluation of and improvement of the control environment for the Capital One Software Technology organization Understand regulatory requirements, PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type 2 and anticipate changes to help ensure proper alignment with internal requirements and frameworks Contribute to Control Self Assessments (CSAs) to verify the design and operating effectiveness of existing controls as well as identify and track control gaps/issues to remediation, Accountable for and contribute to documentation of processes and process flow diagrams, controls reporting dashboards and controls health monitoring Design and implement internal risk and control governance processes Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends and prepare reporting for Executive Leadership Drive collaboration between Technology Application Teams, ES Tech Risk, Cyber and other business support functions (eg, Business Risk Office) Represent and actively participate in enterprise Tech Risk forums and relevant councils Lead other Tech Risk organization initiatives and deliverables to support Capital One Software LT Understand the broader context and implications (eg, financial, legal, reputational, etc.) of the various types of risk affecting the technology function Build successful relationships with line of business risk offices and team members to understand impact of technology risk on critical business processes Manage, implement and deliver on a subset of the program deliverables Support Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs) Understand, document and analyze current state capabilities regarding one or more risk methods. Leverage industry benchmarking to determine best practices and lessons learned regarding components of the risk framework. Write and revise documents such as policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aides. Draft, contribute to, edit, and deliver presentations that aide in the design, development, refinement, and usage of risk methods. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 7 or more years of experience in Banking or Financial Services At least 7 years experience in Technology or Operational Risk, IT Internal or External Audit, or a combination, gained within an international financial institution or professional services firm At least 7 years of experience planning and leading IT audits, risk assessments, and performing detailed reviews of control assessments; including PCI-DSS and SOC 2 Type 2 At least 4 years of experience executing controls or performing controls testing over cloud-based infrastructure At least 7 years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal risk assessments and control reviews At least 7 years of Project Management experience (or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or related certifications At least 10 years experience in information systems auditing, in information systems risk management, or a combination At least 7 years of experience in performing Control Self Assessments (CSAs), or completing assessments against established industry risk frameworks, including: the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, COBIT v5, or COSO At least 7 years of experience in supervisory roles At least 10 years experience performing data analysis in support of internal risk assessments and control reviews Experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) with multi-cloud (Azure and GCP) Ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously Big 4 firm consulting experience Cloud Risk Management experience Proficient with G Suite / Google Workspace for reports, analysis, and presentations Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to confidently interact with and lead meetings at all levels, including executives Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
