Job Summary:The Project SEARCH (PS) Employment Consultant is responsible for managing a caseload of up to 15 Project SEARCH interns or post-hires in reaching the program goal of 100% employment and retention. It should be noted that caseload sizes may vary based on the support needs or programmatic needs. This position is responsible for supporting people with internship or job placement, coaching, job development/training, and assisting them in achieving their individual goals. Additional responsibilities include managing all documentation for respective caseloads, working closely with supervisors to identify additional opportunities, working collaboratively with on-site team to meet overall program goals. The position will help with coordinating program activities in collaboration with the entire PS team. The position will have to self-manage their time and develop ongoing plans for their caseload to meet their respective goals.Primary duties and responsibilities: Implement Customized Employment procedures in developing productive and meaningful internship opportunitiesDevelop and implement general and individualized tools (job analyses, task analyses, checklists, etc.).Develop necessary natural supports and other workplace accommodations to ensure success for people on caseload.Communicate with intern supervisor and assist intern to resolve any grievances, or ongoing internship concerns.Develop relationships with interns/post-hires and families, to better assess holistic skills, abilities, and support needs, at worksite, home, and in the community (home visits, community activities, support meetings, etc.)Clearly communicate the person's progress with family, while also helping to work through any specific concerns or issues.Provide ongoing supports to caseload, assist with any special needs, and provide necessary supervision on and off work site (as defined by person's individual plan).Facilitate/schedule plans with supervisors for layering of tasks at internship/worksite. Conduct and/or coordinate any needed travel training (and/or other means of transportation), for person to travel to and from worksite as independently as possible. Resolve any related and ongoing issues.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience (or related experience) in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in supported employment or vocational settings, with at least high school diploma.BA/BS degree preferred. Must have a good understanding of Customized and Supported Employment, a proven track record of supporting an entire range of people and be skilled at implementing individual employment & Person-Centered Plans.Must possess an excellent performance ethic and be a strong team player.Requires valid driver's license containing no more than two points.About SEECSEEC is a progressive nonprofit agency providing a wide range of community supports to help people with developmental disabilities live the lives they choose.
