Our size, scope and market leadership give you the chance to explore career opportunities - and grow as we grow.A DAY IN THE LIFE: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Support: Complete clinical/technical training Represents Medtronic during surgeries and implants of products to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance. Provides technical support with device reprogramming, follow-ups and trouble-shooting in hospitals and clinics. Provides on call support as needed for surgeries, device reprogramming, troubleshooting, follow-up enrollments, etc. on evenings and weekends. Educational Support: Educates physicians and allied healthcare professionals on technical matters relating to our products and therapies Provides training and resources for allied healthcare professionals to enable them to conduct training for their personnel ("train the trainer"). Sales Support: Completes sales training process During/following cases: Completes necessary documentation (eg, implant registration, salesforce.com, mStar) and phone calls (customer service). Updates sales representatives concerning cases. Immediately notifies representatives regarding issues or problems requiring follow-up. Serves as effective Medtronic representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic products, service and support. Manages inventories (consignment, trunk and district office, loaner products) and provides support with rotation and delivery to optimize customer service and efficiency. Promotes Carelink enrollments at time of implants. Requests and obtains purchase orders after implants per district guidelines. Conducts regular unsolicited calls to hospitals or clinics. Maintains current knowledge regarding Medtronic therapies, programs, products, services and competitive products. Maintains open, effective communication with all Medtronic personnel and customers. Sales responsibilities for specified accounts per District Manager assignment Performs other related duties as assigned.MUST HAVE: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME Bachelor's degree 0-3 years of sales experienceNICE TO HAVE: DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, engineering or technical discipline Work experience in technical field, engineering, hospital/clinic or sales Proven track record with technical or sales assignments Ability to work with many different customers from varying backgroundsPHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobileWork and Travel Requirements Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings This position requires on-call time Continuous verbal and written communication Ability to transport product/equipment from car to hospital Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease and radiation Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% of time) Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
