Dewberry is seeking a Pricing Analyst. The Analyst will serve as an integral member of the Pricing team within Dewberry. Candidate's main responsibility is to provide key support on price-to-win (PTW) development activities to support strategic growth initiatives and targeted business acquisition pursuits. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of business acquisition processes as well as the critical nature of price-to-win analysis and its significant impact on the ability to win and execute new and follow-on business opportunities.

Responsibilities

But not limited to:
  • Coordinating and conducting competitive information research, collection, and analysis
  • Developing competitive assessments, funding analysis, top-down and bottoms-up program price analysis, market-based price analysis, probable bid price ranges, and design-to-cost target allocations
  • Weighing situational implications of RFP evaluation criteria, customer award history, competitive positioning, and non-price evaluation factors
  • Collaborating with capture teams, proposal and client managers, and internal and external solution teams
  • Integrate with federal contract pursuit team members to comprehend the opportunity requirements, budget, contract type, evaluation criteria, customer risk and award tendencies, and competitive landscape/positioning
  • Model potential competitor solutions from a price perspective to develop competitive bid strategies for each key opportunity and development of a competitive data base
  • Create and utilize qualitative and quantitative metrics for each pursuit to be used and tracked as indicators for price competitiveness
  • Conduct market/competitive intelligence research and support post-award win/loss and lessons learned analyses to enhance pricing intelligence databases/repositories
  • Assist in development and maintenance of pricing database for analysis of pricing trends
  • Assist in development of pricing templates for use by Business Units in developing consistent pricing
  • Support capture reviews and present recommendations to leadership in a clear and compelling manner
  • Provide outputs and actionable insight with respect to evaluation criteria
  • Support other pricing activities as needed


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • MS/MA/MBA degree preferred (preferred fields of study include Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, and/or Engineering)
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience modeling basis of estimates and pricing federal contract proposals for professional and technical services including "best value", Brooks Act, "lowest price technically acceptable", etc.
  • Must have strong Research, Communication, Critical Thinking and Presentation Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (master skills in MS Excel modeling)
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, contract types and cost/pricing strategies is required
  • Capable of developing and implementing analysis using analytical tools and knowledge of the latest tools on the market
  • Experience and expertise in market research and analysis
  • Self-motivated/self-starter, able to work well with little to no direct supervision or day-to-day guidance.
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Highest level of professional integrity and honesty, as well as personal credibility
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and oral/written communication skills
