Position Description: Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity within the defense industry? If so, Serco may have the perfect opportunity for you! Serco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide business financial management support to the Amphibious Warfare Program Office SSC Landing Craft Division in Washington DC. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment. Serco supports the Navy as subcontractor to the prime for their Amphibious Warfare Program; specifically Business Financial Management (BFM) Support. The BFM team supports the Financial Management Division in support of the Landing, Helicopter, Assault (LHA), of the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), of the new Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1700, and of the new Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) programs. In this role, you will support the BFM team in preparing and tracking funding documents, tracking obligations and expenditures, preparing Task Planning Sheets, assist in budget preparation and developing briefs, monthly financial status reports and correspondence. You will be part of a 11-person Business Financial team consisting of senior, mid and junior level Business Financial Analysts that works closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the Principal Acquisition Program Manager. In this role, you will:Primary support for all routine acquisition reporting requirements for our program including monthly RDAIS input, quarterly DAES input, annual Selected Acquisition Report (SAR) and Out-of-Cycle SAR (as required) for the SSC program.Responsible for drafting program/financial briefs.Primary support for all ad-hoc acquisition budgetary reporting requirements for the program including President's Budget (PB), POM and BES/OSD.Drafting language to respond to higher level authorities (FMB/OSD/GAO) to protect program budget authority.Supporting the Program Management input to the BFM Division for the monitoring of program controls in the Program Budget Information System (PBIS).Determine possible impacts to the Program as a result of potential or actual budget authority or Congressional appropriation changes.Assist in execution of program Business Plan development and execution.Review draft shipbuilding contracts/mods comparing against program funding ensuring language and funding reconcile.Support the management of Task Planning Sheets (TPS).Deliverables / Services:Review reporting data from ERP to track the funding execution status for the various GFE PARMsAnalyze monthly ERP reports and provide updates to the GFE ManagerAdditional Business Operations and Financial documentation as directed. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will have:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data. Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance post-employmentPrior DoD contracting experience required.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Additional desired experience and skills: Effective organization level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills is required.Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
