Description Robert Half is looking to fill the vacant position of Accounting Clerk for an industry-leading organization with a growing team. The candidate's responsibilities will include, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This position is in-office 5 days a week in the Midland, Virginia area.Major responsibilities- Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis- Manually or electronically post financial information- Assist with general accounting tasks, including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects- File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data- QuickBooks experience- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel- Strong familiarity with account reconciliation- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended- Ability to multitask effectivelyIf you meet these requirements above, Let's connect!
