Entry/Developmental Entry is with a Bachelor's degree and no experience. Experience working in a HVAC engineering capacity (eg, heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, and mechanical codes), project management, blue prints and using AutoCAD and microstation is desired. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. Full Performance Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. Relevant experience must be working in an HVAC engineering capacity (eg, heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, mechanical codes, and indoor air quality standards), project management, blue prints, facilities design, and using AutoCAD and microstation. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. Formal or informal leadership and EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is preferred. Senior Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience must be working in an HVAC engineering capacity (eg, heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, mechanical codes, and indoor air quality standards), project management, blue prints, facilities design, and using AutoCAD and microstation. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. Formal or informal leadership and Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.
