Vice President for Advancement The Opportunity Holy Family University is seeking a dynamic and personable Vice President for Advancement to provide a strategic voice and coordinated approach to the creation, articulation, and implementation of the University's institutional advancement, development, and alumni relations goals and objectives. The Vice President works with all University constituencies and advisory boards as well as a broad array of external stakeholders to achieve goals of the strategic advancement plan. Also serves as chief advisor to the President and Board of Trustees on matters related to institutional advancement, including a comprehensive fundraising program, donor relations, alumni relations, communications to alumni, donors and prospects, donor engagement and fundraising events. The Vice President must demonstrate an interpersonal and collaborative demeanor as well as exercise executive leadership, strategic direction, and management oversight in conceiving, planning, implementing, realizing, and evaluating the University's short and long-term philanthropic initiatives. Accordingly, this role is responsible for all advancement activities including, but not limited to, fundraising, Board development, planned giving, and alumni services, special events, and associated marketing and public relations in collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. As the University's chief development officer, the Vice President personally maintains a portfolio of donors and provides leadership to ensure ongoing identification, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts. The Vice President sets clear, ambitious goals and inspires the staff to meet and exceed expectations. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate possesses a Master's Degree in related field; three (3) or more years of leading and supervising employees required and a minimum of seven (7) years of successful development and fundraising experience through annual appeals, planned giving, events management and corporate giving; higher education and/or foundation experience desirable. Certified Fund Raising Executive certification or progress toward certification preferred.
