Business Development Representative Job DescriptionAs a Business Development Representative at Babyscripts, your primary focus will be outbound prospecting to secure leads for the sales team. The goal is to drive pipeline growth from prospects through targeted outreach and methodical data gathering.You will be responsible for connecting with potential customers and completing consultative discovery calls to qualify prospects and uncover needs. You will be identifying, prospecting and nurturing opportunities to book meetings for aligned sales teams within your assigned territory. You will cultivate and maintain favorable contact with your prospects through the sales cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and identify prospectsProspect, qualify, process and following up on leadsCrafting personalized emails and messages to capture the attention of a prospect to set up a callReaching out to prospects via email, phone calls, or other methodsFollowing up on outreach to prospectsConduct research to identify the needs and scale of an opportunityConducting discovery calls to qualify prospectsScheduling calls and meetings for Sales TeamInitiate lead/demand generation strategies that include inbound/outbound sales and marketing campaigns and initiativesParticipate in new business pitches with sales team and subject matter experts and own follow-through with the lead prospectProvide consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communicationsEffectively communicate and present the BRx product solution and value proposition to customersWork collaboratively in a team environment and independentlyAssist in preparing concise targeted pitch materialsDeveloping and maintaining strong relationshipsDemonstrate a commitment to the maternal health & femtech industry staying educated on the new regulations, our product solutions changes, innovations and trendsRequired Experience & SkillsExperience with CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM tool)Strong time management skills & the ability to respond well to time pressure and deadlinesInterpersonal & relationship management skillsNaturally curious, passionate and have a strong desire to learn Demonstrate resilience and the ability to influence and collaborate with internal teams whilst under client pressureResults-driven, self-starter, persistent, highly motivated to achieve targetsExcellent verbal and written (email) communications skillsProficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft productsHighly autonomous and organized with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced organization with remote oversight Preferred Experience & SkillsPrior experience in SaaS sales, healthcare sales or tech startupBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experiencePrevious B2B sales development experience using the phone, email, and social media platformsLogisticsThe candidate must be able to successfully work remotely. The candidate must have experience designing and establishing a productive, efficient, and balanced WFH routine so as not to detrimentally affect either professional outcomes or personal life.Occasionally, the candidate is required to attend in-person meetings, sessions, workshops, and other events with members of his/her team or with customers or vendors.Currently, the Babyscripts team is fully remote. From time to time, travel to the DC Metro area or other areas for meetings and/or conferences will be required (post-COVID).This is a full time salaried position offering competitive pay commensurate with experience.
