Overview: The Senior Application Developer/DevOps Engineer will solve unique problems in a modern Agile Development environment across multiple cloud offerings. As the Senior Application Developer/DevOps Engineer, you will design specifications for new solutions and modify existing ones. Bridging knowledge of legacy IT systems and applications built entirely on open-source software, the Engineer will analyze system architecture, cloud architecture, and applications-generating analysis, recommendations, and implementing solutions. The position is mostly remote. Responsibilities: Manage IT system infrastructure and processesProvide second level problem diagnosis and resolution of problemsSupport the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer IT systemsHandle competing work demandsCoordinate configuration changes, installs, & upgrades with application owners-including planning, scheduling, status reporting, and following customer change control procedures. Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain DHS ICE EOD5 + years of experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows system administration, including knowledge in shell and PowerShell scripting.Experience with one or more these scripting languages: PowerShell, JSON, Python, Bash, YAML, Cloud Formation, AWS CLI.Experience with Cloud Migration, automation and DevOps tools: Jenkins, Ansible, terraform, SonarQube, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, Git/GitHub.Experience with products such as Vault, Packer, docker, kubernetes.Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure including migrations, deployments, automation and best practices in all major services they provide including but not limited to: networking, image management, compute, storage, monitoring and app-servicesSecurity using LDAP registry and setup of SSO using SPNEGO and SAMLAdvanced troubleshooting skills including analyzing log & trace files using Graylog or Splunk, opening service requests, collecting documentation, working with Vendors, and driving problem resolution.
