Data Engineer Overview: As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in KeyLogic's innovation and growth efforts. You will be an integral member of Agile data science teams supporting US national security and energy missions. You will develop and maintain data architectures, from SQL databases to modern distributed multicloud deployments. You will acquire, clean, process, wrangle, and feature engineer data as part of a multidisciplinary data science or data analytics team. You will be a member of the KeyLogic Innovation Network and participate in open-source projects in the KeyLogic Innovation Lab. This is a Full-Time position with potential work locations across the United States, abroad, and remote. Job Responsibilities: . Work collaboratively in fast-paced, Agile, mixed team environment with other data engineers, software developers, data scientists, interface designers, and geospatial experts to solve a broad array of data science and analytics challenges . Support the development of modern CI/CD data pipelines and the extraction, transforming, and loading of all data formats (eg, unstructured, structured, streaming, geospatial, and video) . Support on premises and modern hybrid multicloud data architectures, including data warehouses, lakes and oceans . Proactively tune data structures and models for performance and cost reasonableness Required Skills: . Highly skilled database engineer with deep understanding of SQL, NoSql, Big Data and data science concepts . Ability to work in an Agile DevSecOps team using tools like Jenkins-X, GitHub and BitBucket, and with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack . Ability to develop and deploy databases in various on-premises and public cloud environments, including virtual machines, microservices, Kubernetes containers, and serverless . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Ability to work independently and collaboratively . Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for program innovation and growth Additional Desirable Skills: As part of a multidisciplinary, cutting-edge team, any of the following optional experience is also viewed favorably: . Spark DataFrames . Programming languages and tools, such as Python, R, Javascript, Java, Ruby, PhP, Kubernetes, Docker, NodeJS, React, Vue . ModelOps, Deep learning and machine learning frameworks, libraries, and models . Knowledge Graphs . Open source or proprietary geospatial software . Visualization and UX design and production . National security or energy experience Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Relevant professional certifications and/or Master's Degree viewed very favorably. Clearance Requirements: You do not need a current/active clearance to apply, but must be able to pass and hold a government Public Trust (SF-85) background investigation.
