Vice President, Institutional Advancement and Executive Director, Owens Community College Foundation Owens Community College (OCC), with locations in the Toledo-area and the Findlay-area of Ohio, seeks an experienced development professional and collaborative leader to serve as the College's next Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Owens Community College Foundation (VPIA). This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative leader to join a vibrant community and build an integrated advancement program. Reporting to Dr. Dione Somerville , who was appointed President in June 2021, the successful candidate will serve on a senior leadership team committed to student success, diversity, equity and inclusion , and advancing the Owens' mission . The Vice President will also serve as the Executive Director of the OCC Foundation, working with a dedicated Board of Directors to raise the visibility and philanthropic support of the OCC mission and College's priorities. The Vice President will take the lead in developing a strategy to establish a culture of philanthropy for Owens and will be responsible for the strategic and administrative oversight of creating and implementing a comprehensive advancement program at the College. The Vice President will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team that encompasses all areas of development (annual, major, planned/estate, corporate, foundation and grants); alumni, and special events. As the College's chief development officer, the successful candidate will engage external and internal constituents to further elevate the Foundation's annual fund, major gift, and planned giving activities; identify and execute strategies to further engage members of the Foundation Board, employees, alumni, and community members, as well as Corporate, Foundation and Government partners with College funding priorities; steward donors; prepare the College for a future campaign, and lead the College's special events efforts. The Vice President will be selected by the President and is expected to take office over the winter of 2022/23.
