OPSPro specializes in providing small businesses and government contractors with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT.We are seeking an Independent Contractor (1099) to provide support on contracts/subcontracts within our Contracts department. This is a part-time, 100% remote role.The summary of services to provide shall be to administer prime and subcontractor federal government contract agreements and provide contracts related guidance to our clients. Other responsibilities include:Manages and administers contracts, customer service agreements and supports proposal activitiesManages and administers GSA schedule or GWAC contracts, modifications, and complianceManages process and ensures procurement practices, transactions and documentation comply with Company policies and procedures, contract requirements, and Government regulationsManages and ensures contract/subcontract requirements are met including monitoring cost status, assisting in cost management; and coordinating issue resolution with customersCoordinates with accounting department in administering contract audit/filing and close-out processProvides interpretation of contracts; organizes or processes correspondence with contracting parties and monitors fulfillment of contractual obligationsPrepares and executes subcontract documents and modificationsNegotiates terms and conditions with both government/commercial customers and subcontractorsEvaluates subcontractors/vendor proposals and quotations, including conducting negotiations and or discussions, and developing source selection criteriaSupports proposal developmentSuccessful Independent Contractors Will Have the Following: Skills:Ability to research, interpret and analyze precedent decisions laws, and regulations according to the FAR, DFARS, and various GSA Schedules, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Service Contract Act of 1965 with minimal oversightHighly developed time-management, task prioritization, problem-resolution, and organizational skills, as well as work under firm and quick turnaround deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills (ability to craft original technical correspondence), exceptional word-processing skills and proficiency with MS Excel to include formulas and pivot tablesCapable of writing clear and comprehensive documents/reports based on business related data derived from numerous sources Experience:4+ years of experience in a Contract or Subcontract Administrator, or more senior roleKnowledge of the proposal process as it relates to federal business cycles and the preparation of Requests for ProposalsExperience with DOD contracts Education:B.S. Degree or above, from an accredited college or university in business administration, management, finance, accounting, or related discipline; or equivalent experienceActive enrollment/progression toward Contract Management Certification from a professional association such as NCMA (ie, CFCM, CPCM)
