About this Position / Responsibilities: SUMMARY:The Senior Windows Systems Administrator, under minimal supervision, will be responsible for maintaining the systems, Windows Servers, and Citrix. Server management is the primary responsibility, and this position will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading servers. This position is also responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up and server data is secure from unauthorized access and performing light programming (usually scripting, group policies, and other tasks which involve writing programs to automate tasks). The position will also be responsible for enterprise IT Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and will be required to learn and implement new technology developments while providing technical leadership within the IT Networking Team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages Microsoft Active Directory & Domain Name System (DNS).Maintains and administers Microsoft Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists, Mail Gateway incoming and outgoing mail flow and groups, including archiving for legal compliance.Configures and maintains and manages Cloud Subscription and virtual tenants such as Microsoft 365, Azure, VMWARE ESX 6.0+ platform, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive tenants.Configures and deploys new server instances and /or Cluster Administration based on business customer requirements.Manages enterprise Security and Anti-virus solutions for Microsoft ATP, Defender, and Hard drive encryption, including enterprise OS patching for critical vulnerabilities and 3rd party, non-Microsoft application via the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) group Policies.Configure and support the Network attached storage (NAS) such as - Dell Compellent, unified Storage (UNITY).Manages back-ups and restores jobs on the Commvault.Configures and administers Citrix Virtual Desktop gateways, including publishing business applications and load balancing for end-user access.Performs general support of enterprise computing services, including the management of network printer software and printer queues.Performs System monitoring on core infrastructure elements through configuration and optimization of standard tools, such as Nagios, Riverbed APM, etc.Supports Microsoft SQL database server resources management.Provides tier-3 assistance for technical customer issues escalated by the IT Solution Center.Performs other related duties as assigned at the discretion of the immediate supervisorthe underlying infrastructure including databases, software applications, security, and any other technical issues Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university with five (5) years of related experience in the areas listed below; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with certifications in Data Center Virtualization, Cloud Management, Automation, Network Virtualization and, Virtual Desktops implementation.Thorough knowledge of Patch Management Software Packages, WSUS, SCCM, Commvault.Thorough knowledge of scripting languages (Bash/Python/PowerShell etc.)Demonstrated experience working with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, O365, Network Design, Testing, in Microsoft Windows Server environment, including Management of cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Demonstrated experience in Remote Management Application - Remote Desktop, Terminal Server, etc.Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Level Environmental Monitoring and working with Email/file archiving solutions.
