Security Equipment Inspector Well established leader in the installation and service of security alarms and equipment has an opportunity for a Security Equipment Inspector. This position is responsible for testing and inspecting alarms and security systems in specified buildings. Identify and report problems or discrepancies. Ensures customer satisfaction for all inspections. Monitors alarm and security panel/system. Interacts with building management companies prior to, during and after completion of the testing process. Reviews report results and next steps as necessary. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Essential Duties: Plan and complete all necessary steps in the inspection of boards, panels, video cameras, gate, access controls, and other security equipment Generate written documentation (tickets) for any equipment that does not pass inspection Communicates with customers of any issues with security equipment Presents themselves in a positive, professional manner and per company policy Customer satisfaction Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras, and alarm points to any system Assist in performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty Job Requirements: Two (2) plus years of experience with inspecting or repair and service of security, alarm, IP Video, and Access Control installation experience Excellent general knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms including Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelight, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, etc. Knowledge and ability to use and operate required test equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Excellent communication skills, using precise and respectful terms when dealing with customers and team members Ability to understand, execute, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
