The Y serves as an anchor in the community offering programs and services encompassing youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Position: Wellness Director Salary: $50,000 annually Are you ready to lead a team and manage all aspects of the Wellness department? Join our work family as the Wellness Director and you will be supervising the full time staff, part time staff, and all volunteers. You will also have to ensure that all existing and new wellness staff are appropriately trained via the branch in-house trainings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains our Association standards for new member consultation scheduling, wellness service delivery and the related member engagement processes that best support member retention and wellness revenue growth in meeting the monthly wellness budget. Prepares, analyzes & controls the monthly budget Develops, supervises and manages all retention and revenue programming within department while ensuring continuous member sign ups (in order to meet budget) and monitoring member usage and support Develops and implements all aerobic, wellness and specialty programs; department schedules; brochure information Employs, supervises, trains, and evaluates personnel; schedules and assigns duties; ensures that staff have and maintain certifications necessary for their positions. The qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelors Degree in PE/Exercise Physiology, National Certification in Personal Training. Minimum of 3 years experience in wellness management, personal training, group exercise instruction or related experience. Financial management experience. Supervision/Staff development and knowledgeable on all strength equipment and the safe use of that equipment.
