Overview ProSphere is currently seeking a seasoned Cloud Systems Engineer/Administrator with enterprise-level experience in supporting customer IT operations while maintaining and working within a 24x7x365 environment. The candidate will support the technical hosting environment(s) and will be tasked with deploying new technologies within the organization. The candidate should also possess knowledge with Virtual Machine implementations and backup and recovery services. The role also requires the ability to create comprehensive documentation and diagrams. A candidate that has a passion for learning new technologies and keeping up with new advancements is desired. Having the ability to understand concepts such as IT Service Management and Change Management are a plus. A Public Trust clearance process will be initiated if the candidate is chosen for the opportunity. This is a full-time position which can be remote. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Plan, maintain and manage the current infrastructure environment within the federal customers perimeter, to ensure uptime and reliability (Operations & Maintenance) Research, design, deploy, provision, and document new technologies implemented within the environment Experience working with Cloud Service Providers, including Microsoft Azure Architect, monitor and control consumption, of Azure Government Cloud, with input from the federal engineering team Implement modern web applications and underlying technology stacks Participate with the Information Security partners and implement cybersecurity updates to the system Provide reporting metrics to Project Manager and Federal team for infrastructure run within the environment Work collaboratively with other segments of the federal customer IT division to ensure end-customer success Contribute to all phases of system development and support with planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation An intense focus will be the technical documentation to be used for operational support for end-technologies Setup new processes for our Azure Government Cloud environment to include data migration, backup, recovery. Ownership of the system being available. Ensuring the system is always backed up and recoverable. Provide support when needed (nights and weekends for deployments or incidents) Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree required -- Computer Science, MIS, Math or Engineering degree commensurate with experience 5+ years of experience with virtualization, specifically VMWare and Hyper-V 5+ years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure architecture and management within Microsoft Azure 3+ years of experience with Active Directory and multiple operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and UNIX Fluent understanding of the entire Microsoft Server ecosystem of applications-primarily Microsoft Windows Server technologies (including Hyper-V) Experience with Azure/AWS, Azure/AWS Resource Management templates, Virtual Networks, Storage, and Virtual Machines Experience with providing Azure/AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices Experience with managing network monitoring solutions Ability to create detailed systems documentation, as well as network/system topology diagrams with Visio Experience with cybersecurity work for the infrastructure environment (scans and resolve findings) Communications skills with Lines of Business, as well as other technical and non- technical staff is a must Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple users Ability to work weekends or overtime as required Government Contractor experience is a plus Preferred Certifications: Cybersecurity Certification (ie, security plus, network plus, etc.) Cloud Certification (ie, Azure fundamentals or other cloud certification) ProSphere offers full-time employees a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, military leave, training, tuition reimbursement, a wellness program, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) retirement plan with company matches/immediate vesting, commuter benefits, and more.
