Principal Associate, CRA Strategy & Program Management

The CRA Strategy & Program Management (S&PM) team partners with lines of business across the enterprise to sustain Capital One's longstanding Outstanding CRA performance. We maintain high data quality and control standards, and develop and support effective strategies with each applicable business. Most importantly, we manage CRA examinations by showing the bank examiners how Capital One effectively responds to the lending, investment, and service needs of the communities where we do business. We convey Capital One's comprehensive and durable approach to improving the financial well-being of low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods.
The CRA Strategy & Program Management Data Analysis team is looking for a self-starting, analytical, and enthusiastic Principal Associate to play a critical role in contributing to the company's goal of continuing our track record of outstanding CRA performance. The ideal candidate will analyze data and generate reports for CRA strategy planning, performance monitoring and examination preparation, in addition to playing a key role in helping the team to comply with future CRA requirement changes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing lending, investment and services data from a variety of business lines for the purpose of CRA performance monitoring
- Generating data files, reports, and presentation materials for bank executives, senior management, the board and bank regulators
- Partnering with the technology team to improve efficiencies and automate current reporting processes
- Assisting the Data Analysis team with its controls and risk management responsibilities
- Participating actively in CRA projects and other initiatives, e.g. preparation for CRA examinations, CRA reform, external corporate reports, and internal audit.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of data analytics or reporting
- At least 1 year of experience using spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) field
- At least 2 years of experience using spreadsheets or databases, including creating pivot tables, basic formulas, and charts
