Duties

Incumbent serves on the National Intelligence University (NIU), Office of the Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs staff and is responsible for developing and administering the university's faculty development program. In this role the incumbent will oversee, administer, coordinate, integrate, and evaluate the efforts of administrative operational areas to identify specific requirements and to plan and schedule for actions needed to meet those requirements. This position requires collaboration with faculty and department leadership to develop events, workshops and programs, as well as identifies and advertises seminars and conferences to meet faculty needs. In this role the incumbent will be expected to remain abreast of accreditation standards and expectations specific to NIU. The incumbent will plan and manage campus-sponsored events and track engagements against budget.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

Familiarity and experience with planning, coordinating, and managing seminar style events.

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Oral and written communication skills to compose, tailor and deliver original presentations or documents.

Mastery of basic Microsoft Office software applications, to include: Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member, and proactively manage competing priorities under strict deadlines

Interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain professional networks across organizational boundaries to exert influence.

Desired Requirements:

Familiarity with higher education accreditation policy and processes.

Experience working at a university level either as a member of the staff or faculty.

Served in positions within organizations responsible for talent development.
