**Description:**The industrial painter is responsible for the following duties:- Performing general paint preparation functions including sanding, grinding, polishing, masking and priming parts- Operating hand-held grinders and machine grinders that will polish parts after they have been painted or to remove surface layers from parts prior to being primed and painted- Hanging parts (up to 50 pounds) manually on elevated hook-conveyors that will carry the parts through powder coating chambers or utilizing overhead and jib cranes to pick the parts up (in excess of 50 pounds)- Applying industrial coats of paint through the use of high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) guns- Inspecting parts after they are painted through visual inspections including looking for any defects or runs in the paint and color matchingAny experience with paint mixing and in-depth quality checks including logging quality errors is highly desired.
