Responsibilities: Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to provide IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize and legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally. The Senior Systems Architect will be a member of the CA/CST CAEIO Engineering team, responsible for working closely with CAEIO contractors, DOS leadership and business stakeholders to integrate modernized services and capabilities for mission essential applications that further the diplomatic mission. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for modernized and legacy systems, infrastructure, and services leveraged by CA applications. Support Lifecycle Engineering and Enterprise Architecture for modernized services to include identity management, networks, databases, storage, monitoring, on-premises infrastructure (to include containerized environments), and cloud capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Develop capability/technology roadmaps that enhance delivery of modernized systemsand applications. Participate in enterprise architecture, cloud, and modernization working groups.Prioritize and manage work using agile methodology to enhance service delivery of SO capabilities. Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Government Customer, and other Architects to prioritize engineering/architecture efforts and ensure successful integration of modernized services. Leverage IBM Jazz Agile tool to track all engineering features, stories, and tasks. Support cross-team collaboration across 350-person organization where integrated capabilities are critical to mission success. Collaborate with CAEIO and CSM Teams to ensure Engineering/Integration efforts meet requirements in the areas of security, capacity, and availability (DR and Redundancy). Work with other CA organizations and vendors to effectively design/integrate/test/deploy capabilities into production environment.Support monthly Engineering reports in the areas of automation, cloud, modernized services. Ensure all Engineering configuration changes follow approved change management processes and security configuration guidelines. Support Government Customer with ad hoc tasks and data calls. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:Requires US Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance, with ability to achieve TOP SECRET clearance.Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience; Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degreeExperience supporting mission critical/essential capabilities for the Federal GovernmentExperience working in 24/7 operational environmentsExperience performing COTS integration/development/administrationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working directly with Government customersPreferred Qualifications:Experience with enterprise systems including Identity Management/Authenticaton/SSO, Databases, Directories, Monitoring, HTTP, Application Servers, Networks (FW, Load Balancers) and othersExperience with EOL and RHEL Linux Virtual Machines (VMs), Networking components, physical servers, Oracle databases, Virtual infrastructure, and a variety of storage devices in enterprise environmentExperience engineering solutions with high availability, disaster recovery, and following security guidance (STIGs and/or DS Security Guides)Security certifications to include Security+, CISSP, etcExperience with Department of State customer Peraton Overview: Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. For Colorado Residents: Colorado Salary Minimum: $113,401.60 Colorado Salary Maximum:$242,424.00 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
