About the job: The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in Milan, Italy. In this role, you'll serve as the primary technical trusted advisor for the customer and Red Hat Sales team. You will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You will help our customers invest in solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio that will give them a competitive advantage. You will support the sales team in managing a specific number of accounts and businesses. We'll need you to apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. You'll also need excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. You will also use social media and speak at target conferences to attract new prospective customers. What you will do: Serve as the primary technologist for the account and a trusted advisor to customer technical teams and their business contactsLead technical conversations, explaining the ways in which Red Hat's portfolio and architected solutions address the customer's business and organizational requirementsDemonstrate and discuss how the use of the Red Hat portfolio is able to solve customer problems and use cases for self managed and hosted Red Hat offerings, with applicability to the customer's infrastructure and application architecturesIdentify and mitigate any architectural conflicts within account base, and help the sales team to identify and win opportunities within the context of the customer's existing presence and needsOwn the Technical Account Plan, and work with Account Manager on the overall Account PlanScale with Ecosystem team and business partners due to larger number of accounts than Enterprise What you will bring: Work experience with open source offerings or projects5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, solutions architect, or a relevant role; experience in software or consulting presalesAbility to understand and effectively communicate the value of Red Hat's solutions portfolio across technology and solutions spaces, including platform, middleware, cloud, and application development solutionsKnowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem, including Red Hat OpenShift, competing technologies, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or competing enterprise automation technologies, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or competing operating systems, and cloud service providersFamiliarity with microservices architectureExperience with DevOps and continuous integration (CI) or continuous delivery (CD) toolsExperience with services on the main cloud providersAbility to translate technical knowledge and skills into proposals, presentations, standard demos, and customer workshopsAbility to mobilize and manage resources and influence internal and external stakeholdersFluent written and verbal communication skills in English and ItalianAbility to present and have technical and business discussions with C-level executivesWillingness to travel, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines #LI-JJ2
