ObjectiveThe Talent Acquisition (Sr) Specialist will identify and connect top talent to fill a full spectrum of positions based on business needs for Volunteers of America Inc. This includes senior leader positions. Will perform full lifecycle recruiting while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process. Recruits for all level positions non-exempt through executive level positions for the National Office. Perform full life-cycle recruiting and on-boarding to include: Intake with hiring managers, partnering with compensation, sourcing & screening of candidates through to interviews, offer preparation and negotiation, and all aspects of on-boarding. The Talent Acquisition (Sr) Specialist will also provide support to the Human Resources department by providing a variety of tasks and/or projects.Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities Partner with managers to identify hiring needs, develop and implement timely and cost-effective staffing strategies. Manage key stakeholder relationships, as a trusted partner and valued advisor, building a deep understanding of their function, role requirements and desired candidate profiles. Project lead on annual internship program, working with the Internship Team, managers, learning institutions, organizations and interns to ensure ongoing successful program. Use external market data, vendors, sourcing channels and the latest technology available to build and maintain external talent pipelines. Build strategic relationships to engage a strong, diverse pipeline of talent Identify high quality candidates through the proactive sourcing of active and passive candidates via direct channels, job postings, social media, web sourcing, talent mapping, vendors and networking. Develop professional relationships with local organizations and colleges; evaluate the need for, organize and represent Volunteers of America at college and career fairs for recruiting purposes. Must be familiar with relevant laws and regulations, including EEOC and OFCCP, to maintain compliance. Act as a liaison between the hiring manager and partnered agencies to identify talent. Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters Collect and review resumes to match candidate skills and abilities with current job vacancies. Conduct initial and other interviews as requested for all suitable candidates, providing a competency-based assessment and candidate recommendation to hiring manager Support hiring manager coaching and behavioral based interview training, as required, to enhance the quality of hiring decisions. Manage the interview process to ensure qualified candidates are thoroughly vetted before presenting. Ensure quick turn around on requests to schedule interviews, debrief with interview panelists, and provide timely feedback to candidates. Arranges interviews and candidate experience by coordinating schedules and other logistics as needed including travel and lodging. Manage candidate communication including preparing and sending offer letters/packages, rejection letters and coordinating all new hire documentation. Conduct reference check and coordinate pre-employment and criminal/credit background checks. Utilize the applicant tracking system to actively track, manage and report on candidate pipelines to enhance stakeholder communication and ensure effective process management. Manage new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements; negotiating with movers; arranging temporary housing. Conduct new-hire orientation and ensures positive onboarding experience. Maintain acceptable closure rate on all job offers extended. Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks. Supports and works with Director of HR on other HR projects as needed and SVP HR on affiliate HR projects. Articulate Volunteers of America's values, mission, passion and career growth opportunities Create contacts within industry. Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings. Provide strategic guidance and support to deliver on talent needs. Other duties and projects as required Job Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Knowledge of the theory, procedures, and practices of one or more of the fields of human resources. 5+ years in full-cycle executive recruiting in a corporate environment including hiring talent from entry level to management. Influence, build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Involvement in building stakeholder relationships through a dedicated focus on client service and delivery Behavioral based interviewing experience Experience with applicant tracking and HRIS Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite Strategic thinking and influencing and negotiation skills Willingness and ability to learn about position requirements Excellent Time/Project Management Skills Problem Solving Skills Ability to execute a recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management Proven ability to profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit, and not just sell the role Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches Strong relationship management skills; ability to coach and mentor managers Excellent communication and interpersonal communication skills Time management skills Organizational skills Maintain strictest confidentiality at all times Ability to travel Benefits:Medical/Dental/VisionFSA/HSAVacation/SickPaid HolidaysEOE M/F/Vets/Disabled
