POSITION SUMMARY: AT Portables is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a preferred finance or accounting background. This position resides at our Corporate Office and requires dedication and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience performing all activities necessary to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This position works closely under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Finance in order to carry out all necessary financial management and fiscal control policies and activities for administration. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Codes such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email.Attaches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation. Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders. Prepares batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions. Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons. Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports. Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
