Job DescriptionYou As a Systems Administrator (Cloud) at Octo, you will serve as a member of our Systems Operations Team. You will provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams. This role requires hands-on technical service fulfillment and incident resolution in support of major government cloud programs. The Systems Admin (Cloud) will also support operations and maintenance of emerging products and services that improve the business of the clients we serve. Program Mission The Systems Administrator (Cloud) directly supports our growing team in support of a federal healthcare enterprise environment, including medical research and administration. This contract provides a full range of infrastructure support to a federal agency including server architecture design & maintenance, application hosting and administration, providing fixes & upgrade patches, and ensuring cyber security compliance protections. Skills & RequirementsRequirements: Experience with IT Operations and Maintenance Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Proficiency and Proven Hands-on experience AWS Services, such as EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, ALB, AWS Security, S3, RDS, EBS, ECS Demonstrate professional competence in the principles and practices of Cloud architectures. Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends Understanding of Cloud technologies (network, compute, storage) and service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Understanding and experience with cloud native/12-factor application architecture and microservices Manage, administer, and support projects hosted in the cloud Implement and maintain scalable High-Availability (HA) and Fault-Tolerant (FT) computing solutions Able to understand and follow technical documentation Must be able to handle multitasking Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, presentation, and relationship building skills Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work Desired Skills: Infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform and CloudFormation Good knowledge and understanding of federal cloud policy, regulations, and implementations (eg FedRAMP, FITARA, NIST, OMB, etc.) Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with Microsoft Azure Experience in configuring and managing continuous integration systems (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.) Experience migrating systems to hybrid or fully cloud-based solutions Experience with web standards such as DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security mechanisms, proxies, firewalls & application delivery controllers Experience with best practices in securing OS, data, and applications AWS Well Architected Framework Containerization/ECS/EKS/Kubernetes Experience with AWS CLI Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise cloud solutions Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field or equivalent experience (minimum 6 years) Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate strongly preferred Location: Currently 100% remote/Rockville, MD post COVID restrictions Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust/SuitabilityOcto is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
