Title:Senior Systems EngineerKBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services at NRO/MOD/OE in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will:Lead and oversee technical efforts of eight systems engineers providing enterprise-wide, high-impact systems engineering services ranging from tactical support (eg configuration management, board facilitation, actiontracking, etc.) to strategic services (eg technical planning, digital engineering, enterprise architecture, etc.)Continually assess team's tasks; realign/reprioritize/augment assignments as appropriate; drive projects, customer requirements to closureWorking with Contract Element Lead and Government managers, maintain awareness of government's evolving needs and proactively provide analysis, insights, recommendations to improve delivery of services and/or exploit opportunity to enhance process or resource effectiveness or efficiencyProvide technical support to government points of contacts; Identify and communicate system engineering risks,issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependenciesPromote and facilitate collaboration with government, SETA team members, and other contractors supporting the government - across the MOD enterpriseDevelop assessments and briefings to a variety of audiences, convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadershipQualificati13 years' technical experienceTop Secret/SCI clearance with CI PolyBachelors of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or relevant field requiredDemonstrated leadership success on variety of complex systems engineering projects impacting mission operationsIn-depth experience with NRO systems engineering and mission readiness processes; familiar with readiness events, control gates, and associated entry/exit criteriaKnowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture including mission management, mission control and/or mission processing functionsProgram lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations and maintenance, decommissionExperience with CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture developmentExperience in mission operations environment - ops tempo, performance characterization, utility analysis, system calibrationsFamiliar with digital engineering, systems development methodologies (eg Agile, DevOps, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.); cloud technologiesSelf-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topicsPolished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgmentMaster at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholdersconsensus builderProficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project)Desired QualificationsSAFe, Agile, INCOSE certificationsIn compliance with the US federal government's vaccine mandate, only candidates who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a reasonable accommodation or approved medical exception will be considered for this position.KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
