**Description:**The Machinist will be responsible for:*Sets-up and operates CNC machine and all other equipment in assigned Cell.*Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.*Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.*Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. Finished workpieces may be lifted manually or with hoists and cranes.*Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.*Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems, as well as monitor control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.*Fully responsible for preventive maintenance and proper usage of assigned machinery, tools, and component parts in assigned cell.**Skills:**CNC Operator, Lathe, Mill, Inspection Gauges, Manual Machines, Set Up**Top Skills Details:**CNC Operator, Lathe, Mill, Inspection Gauges, Manual Machines, Set Up**Additional Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.*Basic measuring , math, reading and writing skills*Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.*Knowledge of SPC, Mechanical aptitude and Computer literate*Must demonstrate knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar*Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance*Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.*High school diploma or GED required*6 to 9 months on the job training or related vocational training program required**Experience Level:**Entry Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
