**Description:**A R Lab hourly position with the primary responsibilities of performing watertight connection welds on various types and gauges of sheet metal. As an experienced welder, they have a high level of proficiency in welding fabrication and is competent to work independently in the majority of functions. Ability to communicate to supervisors and co-workers with written memos or email that are professional, concise, and clearly understood.* Demonstrated oral communication skills including the ability to communicate professionally with customer and co-workers. The ability to share information verbally that is clearly understood and technically accurate* Must pass the Class C Welder training & theoretical testing.* Ability to demonstrate welding technique to Class E Corner Welders.* Must pass the practical requirements as stated in Class C Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ)* Ability to understand and react to job schedules.* Read measuring devices: weld gage, inclinometer & tape measure.* Able to read and understand all types of shop documents - Submittals, Fabrication Sheets & Assembly Lists (BoM's).* Able to interpret basic welding symbols & engineering drawings.* Able to identify different welding wires and gas for proper application.* Competent in math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractional computations, and fraction to decimal conversions.* Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change.* Understanding of elementary and intermediate LEAN principles including 5S, and basic continuous improvement techniques* Familiar with all appropriate procedures, policies, and standard work instructions for their area**Experience Level:**Intermediate Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
