About the Role: The Project Engineer II is responsible for the support of functions related to construction management in the electrical construction industry. Projects may include performance of work for federal, state and municipal clients throughout the United States. The Project Engineer II assists with the preparation of plans, applicable specifications, and interfaces with and provides general project support to senior project management professionals. Essential FunctionsInterpret applicable construction drawings and applicable specifications; update drawings as addendums are releasedMaintain accurate and updated set of construction As-Built drawings to be turned over to the owner at project completionMay interpret issues in the field and/or contract documents to submit RFI's (Requests for Information)Assist with the review of plans and specifications and prepare a checklist of contract features which require periodic attentionMay generate agreements for subcontractors and vendors and manage agreement activitiesAssist with cost estimates and track change requests/change orders as requiredEnsure maintenance of accurate records - distribute pertinent and necessary information to field construction teamsAssist with project scheduling as neededAssist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management and necessary daily and weekly reportingMay be responsible to track and purchase materials, tools and equipment for constructionPromote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirementsInspect equipment, material, workmanship and finished constructionObserve work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed, and materials used conform to required specificationsMay create and submit closeout documentation, operation/maintenance manuals and As-Built drawings per contract specificationsOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationRegular and predictable attendanceUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable About You: Qualifications3 - 5 years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction experienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read blueprints and drawingsProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher levelStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to think practically while remaining detail-orientedOperational knowledge in Bluebeam What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsMedical, Basic Vision, Regenexx, Teledoc, Hearing (Low deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums) - $15 weekly premium for employee or employee plus family coverage.Dental - 100% employer-paid premium.ThrivePass Health & Wellness Reimbursement Program - $250 quarterly, $1,000 annually for health and wellbeing-related purchases.Annual Paid Time Off starting at 15 days plus 10 paid Holidays (Cultural Celebration Day is a floating holiday).Generous 401(k) Plan with 100% match up to 6%; immediate vesting, and Annual profit-sharing potential.Superior educational assistance program (support for educational costs, internal training, and more!).Company-paid parental leave program including birth and adoption.Company-paid short and long-term disability, life, and accidental death & dismemberment.Company-paid business travel accident insurance.Employee Assistance Plan (EAP).Various voluntary plans available including supplemental vision, accident and critical illness, ID theft, group legal, group auto & home, and additional voluntary life insurance plans for employees and dependents.Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
