Position Function: Under the direction of a radiologist, performs Computerized Tomography (CT) exams for subsequent evaluation by attending physician. Assists physician as requested in the selection of practical applications and technical factors.Qualifications and StandardsEducation: Registered and a graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required. One-year current experience as a staff technologist devoted full time to CT, depending on the hospital's need at the time the vacancy is to be filled. Experience in CT is desirable, but not required. Trainees are required to satisfactorily complete a cross-section anatomy evaluation as part of the bidding/job award process. Experience in cross-sectional anatomy and the modality is desirable, but not required. Cross-training may be provided as appropriate.Certifications/Licensure: Registered in active status by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Advanced certification for CT registry is required 24 months following completion of mandatory exam repetitions.
