Location: OCONUS Xator is hiring an Audio-Visual tech support professionals for locations supported in high threat locations. Overview: The Audio-Visual Field Service Representative's (FSR) roles and responsibilities are to provide technical support, maintenance, and operational assessments for common audio visual systems. The FSR should have sufficient technical knowledge of common large scale video systems to provide Tier Two level analysis, maintenance, and repair as needed. The FSR provides Tier One analysis and maintenance, with the ability to assess the need for additional on-site Tier Two subject matter expert (SME) maintenance and support as needed. The FSR will document support requirements in the approved work management system, repair common equipment. Program equipment will be assessed and maintained to Tier Two support level and referred to Tier Three program personnel for assistance.The FSR will demonstrate knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues and successfully demonstrate key responsibilities and knowledge as presented below. Primary Responsibilities: Demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of complex assignments. Draw upon individual breadth and depth of experience and knowledge various audio-visual systems. Evaluate existing communications systems to identify deficiencies performance issues. Consult with users, managers, vendors, and staff to ensure that deficiencies and alternatives have been fully identified and that the solution will meet requirements. Perform a range of defined level two support for monitors and video switching systems. Identify complex technical problems and communicate to program personnel possible solutions. The FSR will assist with new installations, conduct troubleshooting, perform equipment/component level maintenance, and perform other related maintenance and repair. Conduct periodic and refresher training regarding the proper use, care, maintenance and preventative maintenance of assigned systems. Perform testing of solutions, provide explanations and clarifications to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Communicate complex technical issues, and draft written reports on recommendations to Program personnel as requested to meet requirements. Provide a weekly activity report that includes status of common equipment; quality assurance findings and recommendations; development and conduct of training; technical inspections, checkouts, fault diagnosis; maintenance, repairs; and parts consumption and requirements. Document all installation, maintenance and repair actions, requisitions, receipt of equipment/repair parts and inventory on the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Routine lifting of 50-80 lbs Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions Climbing ladders & scaffolding up to 40' Working in crawl spaces & above ceilings Manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing and lifting Education/Knowledge and/or Experience: BS/BA or advance degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years' experience or associate degree in related field or technical certificate in electrical engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years technical and related experience in the field of coordination and technical support for video or digital systems. 2 years' experience in installation and maintenance of video or digital networked systems. Excellent writing and verbal skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build/maintain professional working relationship Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and the ability to learn and use other software applications. Medical Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class 1 medical clearance or equivalent prior to deployment and is a condition of continued employment. Citizenship/Passport/Security Clearance: The candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.Work Environment: Typical assignments are frequently performed in both internal and external environments with a variety of weather conditions. Ability to work under extreme hot or cold weather conditions with exposure to dust or dirt is routine and may require the use of protective personal equipment (PPE).
