Job Description T-Rex Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect/Technical Lead to support the National Weather Service (NWS) Office of Dissemination's (ODIS) program. This program will support the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, recovery, and decommissioning of the customer's commercially public cloud hosted environments and applications and obtain IT Security support for maintaining FISMA security compliance as per the NOAA and NWS security policy in the cloud hosted applications and environments. The current environment is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) however, other cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform are also available to the government. Responsibilities: As a cloud technology SME and a leader, you'll own strategy, architecture and delivery of key cloud solutions for the customer Responsible for the oversight of the technical work performed under this program. Provide coordination of the support work, act as a primary interface between the Government and the Contractor personnel, and review and monitor Contractor technical work for overall accuracy, quality, efficiency, and timeliness. Planning and engineering the organization's cloud computing infrastructure and applications. Implements and designs server, network, and software configurations for a cloud computing infrastructure and applications with a focus on DevOps principles. Monitors the performance of systems. Manage IT personnel working in an operational IT cloud environment, both in technical and administrative areas, to include human resources management. Execute and oversee the Government requirements including Metrics & Reporting, Monitoring and Security requirements, and that they are met. Ensure that reporting requirements are completed within the agreed upon timeframes Requirements: 8+ years' experience in one or more architecture domains (eg business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Experience working in the public cloud. US Citizenship required Must currently have an industry standard cloud certification.
