Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Architect for our Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL). ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems. The candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing our aging network and databases to support the fast paced organizational and engineering growth. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. The candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, be resourceful and multi-talented. An understanding of semiconductor technology process is not necessary but should have an interest to learn quickly and support a foundry organization. Responsibilities * Perform hardware and software component trade studies. * Architects new network and database infrastructure to meet user, corporate, and program requirements * Leads project discovery, planning, and execution meetings * Collaborates with cross-disciplined engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle. * Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as within a team structure #NGATL Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of experience, or 4 years of related engineering experience with a PhD. * Experience with DevSecOps service/system delivery model * Product Ownership and Management studies/certifications a plus. * Experience with C++ and Python for software development and scripting. * Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office with strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate and present technical material to various stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in Agile Frameworks * Ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Clearance * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university. * Experience in microservices software architecture * Proficient in C++ and Python, and development in Linux environment. * Atlassian Jira/Confluence with strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate and present technical material to various stakeholders. Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $180,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
