Overview BigBear.ai, is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to assist in supporting and maintaining an application team's development environment, as well as its customer's test/production environments. What you will do * Recommend and implement best practices regarding DevOps. * Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) techniques to ensure environments are stable and changes are managed, automatable, approved, and easily deployable. * Work directly with another Azure Cloud Engineer on the team, as well as collaborate with other Cloud Engineers on other projects with similar architectures * Support the Azure environment used by the development team to build and test its solution. * Configure and manage Azure PaaS resources such as Storage Accounts, Cognitive Services, Search Service, Log Analytics, Recovery Service Vaults, and Private Endpoints * Configure and manage Azure IaaS resources such as load balancers, virtual machines and Azure Virtual Desktop * Support the deployment of the application to the customer's environment. * Verify the BigBear and customer environments are optimized, secure, and backed-up regularly. * Track cloud service costs, configure budgets, and make suggestions for cost optimizations. * Ensure the customer's environment is highly available and recoverable in the event of a disaster * Evaluate new Azure technologies and services and their applicability to the solution * Help maintain cloud infrastructure and DevOps documentation. * Serve as backup to the Azure Cloud Engineer, when needed What you need to have * Active Secret Clearance * Minimum 5 years' experience in IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related field * 2+ years DevOps experience using Git. * Demonstrated experience utilizing Azure PaaS services * Experience practicing/implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) techniques. * Fluency in command line tools such as Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Bash. * An ability to organize, develop, and maintain documentation. * Self-motivation and enthusiasm toward learning new skills and concepts. * Ability to improve automation through the CI/CD pipeline through analysis of the current process using tools. * An ability to work with a cross-functional team in a highly collaborative and remote environment and communicate feedback constructively. * An ability to think critically. What we'd like you to have * A degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university. * A Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD Approved 8570 baseline certification). * One of the following certifications: * Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate * Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate * One or more of the following certifications: * Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert * Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert * Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate * Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate * Comfort creating custom pipelines for commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS). * Azure security skills, to include Azure Firewall, Azure Defender, Network Security Groups, Route Tables, and Azure Sentinel. * Azure monitoring skills, to include Log Analytics and creating custom alerts and actions with Logic Apps and Automation Accounts. * Prior experience working in an SRE/DevOps/Cloud Engineering role on a cross-functional agile team. * Networking skills, with a general understanding of the OSI model and experience troubleshooting issues * SQL experience, including permission management, table and script versioning and backup procedures * Experience developing a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy. * Experience working in an Agile environment * Experience working on a Department of Defense (DoD) contract. * About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai delivers AI-powered analytics and cyber engineering solutions to support mission-critical operations and decision-making in complex, real-world environments.
