Overview Steampunk is seeking experienced ServiceNow Architects to support our Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) clients. CISA leads the national effort to understand, manage, and reduce risk to critical infrastructure. CISA is charged with leading the Nation's strategic and unified work to assure the security and resilience of the nation's cyber systems, protecting the American way of life. Contributions As a Steampunk S erviceNow Architect, you will spearhead effort s to modernize and transition business processes into the ServiceNow application to lead process improvements and automation. In this role you will translate real-world needs into technical specifications . You will leverage your experience to work directly with the client, across cross-functional teams and with subject matter experts to bring our team's conceptual ideas to life, provid ing our clients with exceptional solutions and functional products. Key contributions of this role include: * Building and maintaining client relationships to foster and promot e innovative thinking across a fast-paced client environment , e nabl ing the delivery of innovative and high-quality ServiceNow solutions . * Lea ding integration efforts for highly complex or enterprise-critical innovation projects that require extensive knowledge of advanced techniques in multiple technical disciplines . * Coordinating with our Service Designers to facilitate workshops or meetings to gather requirements, presen t and validat e solutions , and test the interpretation of the client's needs . * Analyzing and translat ing business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve complex business objectives . * Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high quality S erviceNow solutions utilizing best practices while balancing the unique needs of our clients . * Validating solution components and providing solution walkthroughs with customer, taking initiative to recommend process improvements, identifying technical issues/risks, and presenting alternatives to alleviate or resolve challenges . * Develop ing and maintain ing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor the performance of the requirements. Provides ongoing implementation, change management, and strategic communications and documentation support. * Serv ing as an active contributor of leading practices, standards, and thought leadership related to the ServiceNow platform. * Maintain ing current knowledge of industry trends and tools to provide best practice insight and best-in-class recommendations to clients and Steampunk team members. * Establishing and managing technical governance, including d evelop ing sustainable mechanisms to document, store, and retrieve all IT policies, standards, and processes . Qualifications * US Citizen Only * Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government. * Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow architecture, solution design and solution implementation * Certification as a Certified System Administrator ; additional c ertification as Certified Application Developer desired * Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JS: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Angular JS, Jelly, etc. * Experience with key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions * Knowledge of ITIL, minimum foundation level, ideally higher * Ability to apply innovative approaches to solving technical and design issues * Previous e xperience with building software using agile methods in a DevOps environment * E xperience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices * Broad skillset with demonstrated knowledge of System, Data, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Technology Architecture Domains * Previous experience building prototypes to evaluate risk & complexity and demonstrate optimal approach * Previous e xperience with automating tests for determining quality, security, performance, and usability of a system. * Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes; ability to work both independently and within team setting in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening) * Demonstrate d analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills , particularly in designing ServiceNow solutions "Nice to Have" Experience and Skill Sets: * Familiarity working with federal government customers * Consulting experience preferred, including consulting/professional services industry * Experience in Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) * Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests * Working knowledge of Git and repository providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket About steampunk Steampunk is a Change Agent in the Federal contracting industry, bringing new thinking to clients in the Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health and DoD sectors.
