As an integral part of our diverse team, your expertise will enhance the exciting, innovative capabilities brought forth in our partnership with the Intelligence Community (IC). The support you will provide to our customer will aid in the dissemination of data to various members within the IC, while working together to serve our country and keep it safe for generations to come. Essential Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include (but not limited to): * Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systems * Working individually or as part of a team * Reviewing and testing software components * Resolving software problem reports * Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment * Debugging existing software and correcting defects * Designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features * Developing data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories * Performing application testing * Assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components * Writing or reviewing software and system documentation * Providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards * Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Minimum Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or related field of study, from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of experience in software engineering * Master's degree in a technical discipline, or related field of study, from an accredited college or university and 6+ years of experience in software engineering * HS: 14+ years of experience in software engineering Clearance: Active TS/SCI/Poly (must possess for immediate consideration) Preferred Requirements Python Experience: * Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of Python and XML * Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design * Experience with build environments such as Gradle or Maven * Preferred - Experience with SQL and NoSQL database Data Flow/Data Analytics * Exposure to streaming technologies (eg, Kafka). Log analysis and General Troubleshooting (tuning and optimization, Search and Indexing Operations, mapping, monitoring) understanding of Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent, etc.) and knowledge of OpenSearch APIs. * Experience in Business Analytics application, support, and troubleshooting concepts * Experience with Python, Groovy and/or Java * Experience with continuous integration environments, such as Bamboo DevOps/Automation * Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of Python, Java and/or Groovy. Knowledge of PowerShell and/or Bash scripting is a plus. * Performing system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system * Develop capabilities to automate deployment of updates and fixes * Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience * Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems * Perform root cause analysis for production errors Knowledge of RDMS, such as Postgres, desired including: * Database design, development and implementation * Experience with creating and optimizing queries * Experience with data parsing and data flow * Development of data structures for the overall architecture of a system accounting for performance and resiliency * Knowledge of Java and/or Python preferred * Knowledge of database storage and retrieval using Cloud technologies This opportunity resides with Cyber & Electronic Warfare, a business group within Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries.
