Job Announcement

Works as a part of a team providing judiciary applications development and applications supporting the Courts Technology program. Duties include:

  • Collaborates with project and application team members and stakeholders as a software developer to promote innovation, support county services, energize overall technology, develop, and maintain information technology systems, and provide or maintain secure, agile, and sustainable technology infrastructure.
  • Provides direction and advice to team to facilitate a wide range of systems and analysis work in the development, implementation, and maintenance of distributed computer applications, COTS products, and subscription service (cloud) solutions having multiple environments.
  • Designs and develops applications with multi-layers and follows SDLC
  • Performs troubleshooting and supports production systems to provide customer support
  • Develops software documentation, including software design documents, applications specifications, and software module descriptions.
  • Develops and manages User Application Testing practices and user training as determined to be necessary.
  • Serves on solution selection committees and facilitates or leads major system/project initiatives.
  • Develops COOP for accountable systems and ensures systems are working in a 24 x 7 environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of information technology operations and general practices, including current development and innovations in technology relevant to municipal government. In addition, the position requires strong business and analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements.

Applicants should possess a strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills and significant career success in building collaborative, effective relationships across multiple departments and agencies. Experienced in project management and complex problem solving with the ability to work effectively to troubleshoot problems that may arise across the Court and County technology environment. This includes experience in platforms, software, tools, application development methodologies, and database design and/or web-based environments to support business operations.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Information Systems, Computer Technology, Business, Economics, or related field, plus three years programming/analysis experience in a complex information systems environment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 3 years of application development/programming experience using .NET, C#, Oracle and SQL Server, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS.
  • Experienced full stack programmer with ability to adapt to other coding environments, ability to write code in .NET, C#, SQL, RESTful, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements, and technical writing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation, integration, and maintenance of COTS.
  • Experience with large, complex integration involving multiple systems residing on disparate technical platforms.
  • Experience with cloud computing solutions (such as Azure DevOps, including containerization and migrating applications to the cloud).
  • Experience in Business Intelligence solutions, data analytics, dashboards, visualization, and Power BI.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to input and retrieve data from a computer. Must be able to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
