Fairfax County Government is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, business analyst to serve as software systems administrator and project manager in support of procurement, contract, and inventory systems for the County. The position works in the Business and Technical Solutions Division within the Department of Procurement and Material Management (DPMM) and collaborates extensively with developers in the County's business support group. Under the supervision of the Business Analyst IV, Technical Solutions team lead, manages and satisfies user requests for multiple procurement, inventory/asset management, and grant related tracking systems within a procure to pay environment. Manages reporting requirements for the procurement data warehouse. Manages the design, process improvement, training, and implementation of legacy and new applications that support special procurement programs for health, and human services program areas. Collaborates with other Fairfax County departments and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) to ensure reporting requirements are met and improved, to include areas such as spend analysis, spend category management, and other spend analytics. Participates in technology projects and process redesign activities that have countywide impact.

Schedule: Position participates in events which may occur outside of normal business hours.

Employment Standards

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a field related to the department where the information technology services are being used; plus two years of experience analyzing business processes and/or developing/maintaining the main business system, technical platform or a related system.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and a credit check to the satisfaction of the employer.

Experience with SAP software, specifically SAP procurement software. Business analyst experience, preferably with government, and business analysis certification (such as PBA-PMI, IIBA, or CSBA). Experience with Customer Relationship Management software.

Job is generally sedentary in nature; however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor and incumbent must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
